This single cask was likely matured in a sherry butt based on the almost 600 bottles produced from the single cask, however no cask type is mentioned. The Highland Inn is located in both Craigellachie, Scotland, as well as Chichibu, Japan. A whisky bar & hotel, the Scottish location often ventures into independent bottling and the legendary owner Tatsuya Minagawa is at the helm, choosing some truly exceptional single cask whiskies.
