No Reserve Glenlochy 1965 37 Year Old Rare Old // Gordon & Macphail

A stunning 1965 vintage expression of the closed distillery Glenlochy. Matured for 37 years, this release was bottled at 40% by Gordon & Macphail as part of their "Rare Old" series. Closed in 1983 amid the Scotch whisky downturn, Glenlochy was once a powerhouse Highland distillery in Fort William. Even more importnat to this vintage, 1965 produced spirit using Glenlochy's own floor maltings before purchasing malt from 1968 onwards. Only the historic pagoda roofed kiln from Glenlochy still remains, with the site now being host to a hotel.
