Ledaig 1972 42 Year Old Dusgadh

A highly limited release of Ledaig distilled in 1972 and matured for 42 years. This 2014 special release was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at 46.7% Abv. This vintage was crafted the year the Ledaig distillery reopened after it was mothballed in 1930. It was only open for three more years before being once again opened in 1979, with the name now changed to Tobermory. Despite Ledaig now commonly being the name given to the peated spirit produced at Tobermory, this expression acquires its name from that original 1970's era when the distillery was named Ledaig, and thus is likely an unpeated release.
