Milne Gilt Edge Rare Whisky 1960's Bottling (26 Fluid Ounces)
Thought to be bottled in the late 1950's to early 1960's, this Australian blended whisky was produced by Milne & Co Distillers. Originally wine and spirit merchants, Milne & Co was founded in 1846. They produced a number of spirits including whisky, brandy and rum at the Thebarton distillery in South Australia. UK based company Gilbey's purchased Milne & Co in 1946 after the second world war and in 1937 started their own distillery in Moorabbin, Melbourne. The Milne & Co produced blends are theorised to have used whisky from both the South Australian Thebarton distillery and the Gilbey's distillery in Melbourne. Gilbey's would cease production in the 1980's and along with Corio, whisky production in Australia would fall silent.

How much do we pay on top of the bid price?
The buyer's premium is 10% of the final hammer price (inc GST).
Our flat rate shipping across the country starts at $14 for 1 bottles, $20 for 2 and slightly increases from there.
We accept bank transfers (no fees) and debit/credit cards (stripe charges 1.75% visa/mastercard) for payments
Do You Offer Insurance for Loss/Breakage?
The cost of Loss & Breakage Insurance is 1.5% of the hammer price plus commission. This is highly recommended as we will take the upmost care in packaging the dispatching orders carefully and securely, the courier companies will however not take on any liability for items lost or broken in transit.
How Long Until Delivery?
Once payment is received by the Australian Whisky Auctions, your whisky will be dispatched within 5 business days from our warehouse in Melbourne, Victoria.
