Jim Beam Beam's Choice 8 Year Old Collector's Edition V Au Cafe by Manet (4/5 Quart)

A 1970 bottling of Beam's Choice Bourbon matured for 8 years and bottled at the higher than standard of 90 proof/45% ABV. This decanter is a painted glass edition, and was one of a number of classic painting inspired decanters released by Beam in the 1960s to early 1970s. Due to the overproduction and low demand for bourbon in the 1970s-1980s it was common for Beam to bottle their overaged stocks in unique decanters. Typically the Beam white label at this time was matured for 4-5 years and bottled between 40-43% ABV. This is a decanter version of the Beam's Choice green label, the more premium offering, and was allowed to mature for 8 years.
