The fourth edition of Tawny cask matured whisky from Mackey. Going through a number of changes in its history, the Mackey series of whisky was produced at the Shene Estate in Tasmania. Mashing, fermenting, distilling and maturation all take place on the Shene estate and a wide range of cask types are used such as cognac, apera, sherry, bourbon and port. Most recently the company was sold to Lark Distillery and is expected to be incorporated into their business to produce spirit for the Lark brand. This means the quantity of Shene/Mackey branded single malt is expected to decline in years to come.
